3 Things We Learned This Summer

As we wrap up the season, let’s take some of summer’s best lessons along for the ride into fall. It’s a bummer that summer can’t last forever, but what we’ve learned can stick with us throughout the year. The sun is always shining when we’re smiling!

Rest and Relaxation is Not Lazy – It’s Important

When the school year starts, we’re all focused on schoolwork, after-school activities, and so on. Remember to take a break every now and then to recharge and reboot. Get plenty of sleep so you can make the most of every day.

Kids often want to stay awake past bedtime, but wind things down by stretching or reading a book in bed.

Stay Hydrated

When we’re hot and sweaty during the summer, grabbing a drink of water is a no-brainer. To beat the heat, staying hydrated is a must. But it’s also important to stay hydrated no matter the weather. Keep a water bottle with you so you can sip all day long.

Staying hydrated will help your body function more efficiently.

Summer Friendships Can Last Forever

You and the kids may have met some new friends this summer. If they don’t live nearby, it doesn’t mean the friendship has to end. Stay in touch and try to get together over weekends or during school breaks.

There’s always time for a friend, even if it’s just a quick text or a message on social media.
