3 Pick-Me-Ups for the Post-Holiday Blues

The excitement leading up to and during the winter holidays slowly tapers off after New Year’s Day passes. We’ve spent time with family and friends, exchanged gifts, and enjoyed (probably too much) delicious food.

If you want to keep the holiday spirit soaring well into winter, here are 3 ways to continue spreading cheer.

Snap out of that winter funk and have some fun!

Share Holiday Photos

All those great photos you took during the holidays are meant to be seen. Send them to friends and family and/or post on social media. When you see those smiling faces, you’ll feel the warmth and wonder all over again.

You can also make an album to flip through whenever you are feeling nostalgic.

Send Thank You Notes

Get creative with the kids and design homemade thank you notes for those who’ve given you presents…and their presence. Tell someone special how they’ve made a difference in your life and how much they mean to you.

Sending a card is more personal than texting. It’s always a nice surprise to see something in the mailbox that is not a bill!

Plan for an Upcoming Special Occasion

Once the winter holidays and New Year’s Day have come and gone, it’s on to the next big thing. Perhaps you have a birthday or anniversary coming up. Maybe someone in your family is expecting a baby or has moved into a new home. And there’s always Valentine’s Day…it’s never too soon for chocolate!

How do you stay happy and upbeat once the holidays are over?
