Tips to Cut Your Cleaning Time in Half

Everyone wants a clean home, but who has the time to clean it sufficiently, especially when you have kids? Still, the cleaning must get done. Here’s how you can cut down your cleaning time and get back to taking care of everything else in your life.

Use Recyclable Plates

For those evenings when you need to clear the dinner table in a jiffy – be it a school night or if things are running late, go for disposable plates, cups, and flatware (just be sure they are recyclable or have been made from recycled materials in order to preserve the environment). Clean up will take mere moments as you stack and toss the used items. If anything can be quickly rinsed and saved, do so, but otherwise, throw ‘em out and you’re done. Kids can help clear the table too since nothing is breakable. Cleaning will be almost as enjoyable as the meal itself!

Spray it and Leave it

Ugh, a moldy and grimy bathroom tub and tiles are such a nuisance to clean and can take quite a while to get things spic and span. Don’t waste your time rubbing and scrubbing. Spray on a leave-on cleaner and let the product do nearly all the work for you. Do other chores or homework with the kids, or something else you need to do, then quickly wipe and rinse off the sprayed areas about 30-45 minutes after application. You will be amazed at how well the products work and how little time you need to put into the dirty work. Plus, the time saved is the best perk of all.

Hang Onto those Towels

Cut your laundry time down by washing bath towels less often. You don’t need to toss them into the hamper after each use. Just like hotels suggest that guests to hang onto a gently used towel to help save water and the environment, you can do the same at home with your family. Give each towel a few uses before tossing into the washing machine. It will be fine and save you time washing and folding those bulky towels.
