Summer Punch Recipes
On a hot summer afternoon, nothing’s quite as refreshing as a delicious, cool beverage. Sure, you can buy something pre-made at the market, but a homemade punch really quenches like nothing else can. If you like a great tasting punch (and who doesn’t), these 3 easy-to-make drinks are perfect for summer and will be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Bottoms up!
Seasonal “Sangria”
As you probably know, sangria is usually made with alcohol, but you can make a kid-friendly version with this fruity recipe below.
Makes 4 servings:
In a large pitcher, combine 16oz lemon-lime flavored club soda, 8oz fruit punch, and 8oz orange juice. Dice up one plum, one peach, and one apple, and toss in a cup of halved grapes. Pour over ice and spoon in any fruit that doesn’t make it into the glasses. So fruity, fresh, and fun to drink!
Berry Blast
Summertime is when berries are at their peak. Instead of eating them whole, use the fruit to create a mouth-watering punch that everyone will adore.
Makes 4 servings:
Blend 1 pint strawberries, 1 pint blueberries, and 1 pint raspberries in a blender until smooth. Pour into a large pitcher and add 16oz berry-flavored club soda and 16oz lemon-lime flavored club soda. Serve over ice and garnish each glass with a few whole berries. Sip in the sun and stay well-hydrated with berry goodness!
Citrus Sipper
Fresh citrus reminds us of the warm summer weather and the great flavors that come with it. Enjoy a citrus punch poolside and feel like you’re in the tropics!
Makes 4 servings:
In a large pitcher, combine 8oz orange juice, 8oz lemonade, and 16oz lemon-lime or orange flavored club soda. Squeeze one full lime, one full lemon, and one orange into the pitcher to boost the citrus flavor. Serve over ice and add a lemon or lime wedge to the glass to garnish. Take a gulp and you’ll cool off instantly!
