Ducklings and Butterflies at All My Children Locations
The kids had a blast with some adorable ducklings at our UWS location.
The students at AMC on 85th St. UWS welcomed their duck eggs, which they placed in an incubator. They are learning all about the lifecycle of the duck, and are watching and waiting for the eggs to hatch!
As part of the science and gross motor development curriculum, the students were able to see the ducklings up close and personal. They were able to touch the ducklings too. Remote learners saw the ducklings from their computers at home.
The children were curious and caring towards the fuzzy little ducklings. What a wonderful hands-on way to learn about the ducklings’ lifecycles and how to care for them. We hope to do something like this again soon.

Our students at our AMC Crown St. site have been exploring the metamorphosis of caterpillars to butterflies.
They have been intrigued by the way their caterpillars are developing. Once child said, “Hey, I see them moving!” and another said, “It’s gonna turn into a butterfly!”
