Fall Family Refresh – 4 Ways to Usher in the Season

Now that the summer is officially over, change things up a bit to welcome fall. These 4 fall activities will get you into the spirit of the season.

Summer Cleaning

We’ve all heard of “spring cleaning,” but how about a post-summer clean up? Put all those summer and water toys away and store your summer clothing to make room for your fall wardrobe. It’s always nice to get the house in order so you’re not overwhelmed with too much junk.

Plus, the kids can help!

Get Comfy

When the crispness of fall is in the air, it’s always comforting to cozy up inside and make the most of family time. Sure, the weather is still comfortable enough to play outside, but as the sun sets earlier, find ways to make indoor time just as special.

Remember, there’s more to do than watch TV!

Redecorate with Autumn Vibes

No matter your budget, you can create a fall ambiance in your home with some simple updates. Add a few throw pillows or blankets in shades of orange, gold, and brown to your sofa. Create that fall feeling with pumpkin spice and cinnamon scented candles.

You can even get your Halloween decorations out a little early!

Bake Goodies with the Kids

There’s nothing like the scent of a homemade apple pie baking in the oven when the temperature starts to dip. Get the kids involved with measuring and mixing.

Consider it practice for Thanksgiving dessert!
