Easy Hair for Hot Summer Days

Great looking hair is something we all desire, and we want to be able to style it quickly and easily. When we need to get the morning going in order to head to work or drop off the kids at daycare, the simpler the ‘do, the better.  As the warmer weather is approaching, sleek and breezy hairdos are certainly the way to go. Here are some easy hair ideas for hot summer days, but of course they all look great year-round too.

Trendy Top Knot

If you have medium to long length hair and want to keep it off your face, a top knot is a more modern version of the traditional bun, and more sophisticated than a simple ponytail. To create the look, gather all your hair on top of your head into a ponytail and loop the hair, forming a knot on top of your head. You can secure with a hair band if your hair is too smooth to hold on its own without the knot coming undone. This style is meant to look effortless and a little messy, so don’t strive for perfection. You will love how easy this hairdo is and how cool you’ll look!

Sleek & Slicked Back

A smooth look is perfect for keeping you cool on a hot summer day and transitions into a sleek evening hairstyle. While hair is still just a bit wet from washing, run a lightweight leave-in conditioner through your hair from root to tip. Comb hair back into a low pony and set with a lightweight hairspray. The style will stay in place all day. If you have bangs, style them to the side with a dramatic part and pin back with a stylish barrette or pin. This style only takes moments to create but will look like a million bucks!

Braid at Bedtime

You can awake with the sexy look of beachy hair without ever hitting the surf. This style can get a head start by braiding damp hair before you hit the sack and sleeping in braids overnight. When you get up the next morning, undo the braids and run your fingers gently through your hair to separate the twists a bit. Your hair will look wavy and effortless. If you want to keep some of your hair off your face, slide on a cute headband or pin back the sides with some mini clips. This is such an easy, breezy look and you will feel as pretty as you look!
