Dressing for the Season

With the weather warming up, please continue sending your child in a light jacket, as we’ll be enjoying some outdoor time. Also, kindly ensure your child wears closed-toe shoes, as they’re important for both safety and fun during outdoor activities.

At the preschool age, children are developing their motor skills and love to explore—running, climbing, and engaging in active play. Proper clothing and footwear help prevent scrapes, stubbed toes, or tripping hazards, allowing your child to move confidently and comfortably as they learn and grow through outdoor exploration.

Good choices for outdoor play include light zip-up hoodies or windbreakers that are easy to remove, breathable cotton t-shirts, and elastic-waist shorts or leggings for easy movement. For footwear, sneakers or sturdy closed-toe sandals with straps are great options to keep little feet protected. Please avoid flip-flops, crocs, or slip-on shoes that can fall off easily during active play. Dressing your child in layers and safe playwear ensures they stay comfortable while making the most of their time outdoors.
